Current Milestone Target

We are currently working towards the 0.2.0 release which will proviee a validating parser and code generator for XPL. Those interested in XPL as a programming language will be provided with a way to experiment with writing programs in XPL, have them checked semantically and identify concerns or issues with the language so that it can be improved early in the process. Target Date: April, 2005.

Major Milestones Already Reached

Date Milestone Description
May, 2005 Version 0.2 of XPS is released. This release provides a basic framework for XPL parsing and validation. The JING (Java interface to Relax NG) was imported into the project to handle the XML parsing and validation.
January, 2005 XPS software development resumes. The web site was revitalized and moved to a corporate server instead of SourceForge. Source code repository rebuilt using Subversion. IRC Channel created.
2003-2004 XPS software development halted for re-architecture based on LLVM. This will save us years of development in the long run.
April, 2003 XPS 0.1.9 released with a significant software base
February, 2003 eXtensible Systems, Inc. (XSI) was incorporated to foster development of XPS and provide commercial support for it. You can visit XSI's web site by clicking the XSI link on the left.
December, 2002 XPS 0.1.8 released with basic infrastructure for development.
July, 2002 XPL language schema released in XPS 0.1.1.
April, 2002 Active development begins, SourceForge project started
